About Me

My name is Marcel van Tongeren and I live in The Netherlands. I’m getting paid for what started out as my hobby, so what could you want more? 🙂

I’ve been ‘playing’ with computers since the Commodore 64 days, but my main focus for the last couple of years has been on Windows Presentation Foundation.

In addition to my day job, I’m also a frequent visitor of the Microsoft WPF forum, mostly trying to help other people with their questions. You can find my forum profile here.

Lately I felt the urge to step it up a notch and decided to start my own blog to share my knowledge in a more structured way. I hope my posts will be of value to anyone, and if not, at least it’s a nice way to keep my own information resources in one place…

And the usual disclaimer:
Whatever I write about, it’s my personal opinion, not necessarily the same as my employer’s. I also don’t consider myself an expert in every aspect of software development, so whatever you do with the information on my blog, I can’t give any guarantees whatsoever. Use it at your own risk…
Nothing of the stuff I publicize on this blog is licensed, except that I forbid you to do anything illegal, immoral or unethical with it. 🙂
